Is the new 2009 hummer h2 any good? Im 17 years old. last year when i turned 16, my parents bought me a 2008 hummer h2. AND I LOVE IT. But, i recintly found a 2009 hummer h2, brand new, 4,345 miles on it... For only $42,842 .. I'm thinking about buying it.. (I have money to buy it right now) im just debating if its any better than the 2008? Im going to test drive/look at one tomoorrow to see what the difference is. Even if theres no MAJOR updates, i will prob still get it.. ITs just the feeling of having an 2009 when its 2009. You understand right? Thanks for you answers!!! If i put a powerstroke, duramax, or cummins diesel engine on a 2009 Hummer H2, what would be the new MPG? my 2009 hummer H2 is terrible on gas as we all know they are, im thinking of slapping one of those 3 diesels on there and putting a 6 speed transmisson, what miles per gallon would i get then? my current one gets around 12 city 18 highway

Hummer 3 being discontinued? I lease a 2006 H3 - lease is up in 6 mths. I hear GM may be discontinuing the Hummer model. I love my truck and don't know what to do when the lease is up. I'll owe $$$ at the end of the lease due to going over the allowable mileage. Buy the '06 truck at the end of the lease - will GM negotiate on the residual value? What about the new Hummers? Will GM be leasing their current 2009 Hummer stock - can I lease a new one? If GM is discontinuing the model all together, will there be great deals on the stock sitting on GM lots? Is it advisable to buy or lease another Hummer 3 if they won't be manufactured any more?

So, i saw i 2009 hummer h2 sut i was int rested in and more than likely will buy! BUT, I need to know from experienced drivers of it, is it any different? Anything better? Because i know most of the newer ones will look/be exactly the same with maybe a different shaped console! Hummer H2 VS Infiniti FX35? I am looking for some real advice (not haters and not whiners). I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Hummer H2, and was all set to buy one (gas is not a major issue here as I don't travel more than 12 miles a day). NY has hard winters and I need a safe, reliable, vehicle that gets through the bad weather - I don't have the option of calling in "snow days". While out shopping, I spotted the Infiniti FX35 - and found that I also LOVE this car. Yes, I know - it's apples and oranges . . . but both are very nice vehicles with equal but different costs and benefits. H2 is slightly higher in gas (10 - 14 mpg compared to 15 - 20 mpg) - BUT FX35 is higher insurance, and probably higher maintenance - which negates the cost in gas. H2 should be able to get me through any weather conditions without issues - I have not been able to test the FX35. H2 would be 2005/2006 model with 68k miles on it . . but the H2 is estimated to run for about 300k miles. The FX35 is a 2009, with 64k miles. Newer vehicle .. . but I don't know the estimated lifespan for this car. Certainly, I don't expect 300k??? Any owners of these vehicles have any input? advice? Please don't go on and on about the gas in the H2 . . . really the FX is not that great either, so it's not a major issue in the decision. (Also, the FX requires premium gasoline - which brings the cost of gas per year closer and closer to H2). I know they don't make Hummer anymore . . . so should I stay away from it? I have always wanted the H2, but now I find the FX35 to be a really nice car too. . . Help?

Could you imagine a Big Guy like me, 6' 5", attempting to fit in the new Scion iQ? I don't like the direction cars are going. It's so small it should be riding me instead of it. Besides, their GM trucks, Is Cadillac the only car division still holding GM together? I know that Cadillac is not like it used to be anymore so far as to being a reliable vehicle and one of the top luxury vehicles to have.My grandmother still has her 17 year old 1992 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with a 143,000 on it which she brought brand new. When she takes it in to get a oil change or a tune up, the mechanics tell her that her car was one of the last models of cadillacs with the northstar system made with a good engine. but the years after that they have just seemed to have gone down hill. I personally still love Cadillac`s and still plan to get one, one day. but since GM is on this bail out besides their suv`s and trucks it seems that Cadillac made up most of GM sales. but i am not saying that this is %100 true. Pontiac`s are nices, but i don`t see them on the road much anymore although they are not my style i do like the new 2009 G8, Chevys have always been a little boring to me except the Corvette! I have a 1999 Honda Civic 4dr EX with a blown engine. Replace with salvage motor or sell as is? I have a 1999 Honda Civic EX 4 Dr. Sedan with a blown engine. I am debating whether or not to put a salvage engine with less than 100,000 miles into the car, or to sell it as is with the blown motor. The blue book value of the car (185835miles) with a working engine is $3295 according to Kelly blue book.com. Is it going to be worth it for me to spend the $2000 to put a new engine into the car, and then resell it? or should I just try to sell it with the blown motor? What is it worth in either scenario? •185835 miles Blown motor •Minor paint, window, body damage (less than normal wear for a car of this mileage damage) •Aftermarket stereo (JVC) with mp3 aux, mp3 disc, sat. radio capable, remote control, aftermarket speakers front doors and back 2 6x9s. •When engine was working had remote start/key less entry. Key less still works and so will the remote start with the new salvage engine. •AC recharged last summer, both ac and heat work great •4 New tires 6 months ago (less than 5000 miles on them) stock alloy 5 spoke rims •Cloth Interior is faded/stained with some damage to door panels. There are some burns from cigarettes, but the smell of cigarettes is almost non-existent; cleaned extensively with upholstery cleaner regularly. Driver’s wheel shows signs of wear on the top section of the wheel. •Power windows, locks, mirrors are all fully functional. Cruise control and powered sliding sun roof. Maintenance records kept extensively since 2009, somewhat beforehand. I have owned it since it had 13600 miles on it, so only two owners total. Maintenance has always been kept up on it, but I only have kept full records for the past 3 years. I do have some of the records from before this, but they are incomplete. Maintenance was always done by a professional shop, and not by me. The car has never been in a serious accident of any kind. Had a small door dent popped and smoothed out by a professional shop in 2002; it was like a 3Inc3in ding that I'm still not sure how it got there. Backed into a truck in 2003 and had to have the right rear taillight replaced. Muffler and catalytic converter were both replaced last year as well as 2 of the oxygen sensors. Also, had the hood latch assembly replaced. I pulled it too hard once and cracked the handle; they had to replace the entire assembly. Did have a rear spoiler, but it was destroyed when pushing it out of the snow back in 2006; not my greatest moment and was pretty stupid on my part to push it by the spoiler. Had the spoiler removed and the holes it used to attach through in the trunk repaired and patched by a professional body shop. You really can’t tell that it even used to have a spoiler anymore. Brakes are less than a year old, as well as the battery. Driver's side mirror was taken off by an H3 Hummer at one point, but this was also repaired by a professional shop. Car was garaged up until around 150,000 miles when I moved to a house that had no garage. Please, let me know what you guys think I should do, and thank you very much for the help you offer. What is wrong with my gas gauge / motorcycle? I have a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250r that supposedly has an average mpg of 50 city/60 highway. I bought it brand new and have been driving it to school and back since January of 2010 that takes 3 miles to and from my school. Unfortunately it seems as if im not reaching my advertised mileage. So far my gas gauge has been dropping faster than a Hummer H2's. It has been this way since i bought it and still have no idea whats causing it. Lately Ive changed the oil and have installed a new exhaust so i dont know what is going on here. Toyota ranked 17th of 23 brands for sevice last year. What about now? The study, just released, was conducted by J.D. Power & Associates, a major and well-respected international consumer research firm, between October and December of 2009, BEFORE the recent Toyota recalls. The results were based on responses from almost 115,000 owners and lessees of 2005 to 2009 model year vehicles. The rankings show that Toyota ranked 17TH among 23 major automotive brands, worldwide, getting better results than only Subaru, Dodge, Nissan, Jeep, Mazda and Suzuki. G.M. brands topped the study, rankings IST (Hummer), 2ND (Saturn), 3RD (Buick), 4TH (Chevrolet), 6TH (Pontiac), and 7TH (GMC). Mini (5th), Mercury (8th), Ford (9th) and Hyundai (10th) rounded out the top ten. The study stated that "GM brands posted most of the highest scores for service to customers with new vehicles in the first three years of operation in the United States, Canada and several other countries." Obviously, Toyota many customers were not happy with Toyota service to their vehicles before the recent rash of recalls over serious defects. How would Toyota fare now if the study was repeated? This study and results were released just this Wednesday, Feb. 24. The article I read cited J.D. Powers and Associates as the source. You're right, Lexus does okay in the Luxury brands. Does that significant diifference in customer satisfaction betewwn Lexus and Toyota signify that Toyota was treating its regular, non-Lexus customers like second-class citizens?

Dodge viper and the company hummer are being discontinued after 2009. Input? Why is there SOO much hate for Hummers? Why are people so quick to judge someone driving a Hummer? I don’t get it. I’m 32 I enjoy the outdoors and use my H3 for what it was built for. OK so they’re not the best on gas. Well there are other SUVs out there that have worse MPG than the Hummer. For example the Range Rover, Land Cruiser. The 4Runner gets worse MPG than the H3. Yes the H2 is a little more. But where is all the hate coming from? If we took all the Hummers off the planet, would that solve the issue of dependency on oil and help the environment at all?
