what should my first car be?
i'll be getting my permit in 2 years and i need to know what kind of car to get. i'm a girl, so i don't really know about cars. i was thinking of a baby blue mustang gt or a black hummer, but i think they are too expensive. i'm starting to save my money now. if you can help me, post a link of a picture of the car you would recommend. stop telling me to get a lambo. also - i would like to have a car that has a tail on it.

- A used car
- 1989 Honda Civic. Cheap and dependable.
- Get a Ferrari or Lambo.
- DAYM GIRL!!! THOSE CARS ARE HELLA EXPENSIVE!!!! but a good car to start off with if ur buying it on ur own is a Automatic Honda Civic, any year really..but if u have money then yea..get an Audi or something.
- brand new lambo unless u broke
- a VINTAGE mini.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_hirA7BsWI
- I don't have a picture, but a mechanic friend of mine told me that a Toyota Corolla is a great car. As a first car you probably want something reliable and good on fuel, if this sounds like something you want in a car then I would recommend the Toyota Corolla :)
- a Beattle! they are so cute and safe.
- something not expensive because ul want a better one in a couple years
- I think you should get a: civic mustang Dodge neon or a rx8 or rx7
- a smart car
- Hummers waste too much gas and a Mustang is a bad idea for someone who just got their license. Get a used Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, or Toyota. They are cute, last FOREVER, are reliable, and pretty cheap. Look into Mustangs and Hummers after you graduate high school. You still have 2.5 years till you get your license so you don't even need to be thinking about buying a car right now... but here's a 2000 Toyota Camry that I'm actually looking at buying to get me through the last 2 years of college.. http://www.darcars.com/used-inventory/vehicle-details.htm?vehicleId=faab41204046381e00fbca58e05bab39
- A car you can buy with cash is a good car. Honda's are great and have a good resale value.
- A lot can happen in two years... New cars will be released, your interests and tastes will change. If you were looking to buy today, here is what I would recommend: Don't look for your dream car: You'll be learning to drive in this car. You don't want to learn to look twice after backing your dream car into a pole or out of a driveway into oncoming traffic. Large down-payment: Paying a car note gets old quickly, so try to get the purchase over as soon as possible. Saving money now is a great plan. Consider how you'll use the car: You're young. You're in school. You will have friends that want to ride with you. You'll need space for shopping bags, gym bags, backpacks, etc. Friends won't want to squeeze into the back of a Mustang. Consider the insurance rates: Even if you're parents are covering the bill, think of how much money will leave your family every month to pay for something you rarely get to use. Paying for auto insurance is not fun either. Two door coupes are more costly than four door sedans. Consider the cost of gas and service: Oil changes are due every 3k miles. That is only $20. Tires need replacement about every 9 months. That is about $300. You cannot predict the price of gas, so get something that is gas-efficient. If something breaks on the car, are you going to have money to pay for it? If you have a new car with a manufacturer's warranty, they fix it for free. Given all the above, I would recommend a new or slightly used four-door sedan that is still within the manufacturer's warranty. Here are a few good picks. From most affordable to most expensive.
