Remeber, at first the US didn't want a ceasefire unless it would have solved the millenia old conflict, to bring "lasting" peace. Which is asking for something impossible. Like, stop fighting, but only if all Christians, Jews and Muslims get along 100% from now on. Give me a break. Once the pipeline in Alaska was shut down, it only took 3 or 4 days for them to change their tune and broker a ceasefire. Obviously, it's mighty expensive to gas up those tanks and hummers year round in Iraq, and the whole point of te Iraq war was to create a stable oil supply. The lebanese army won't be able to disarm Hezbollah, and the UN won't either, so this certainly not the end of fighting forever and ever that america wanted... Any thoughts? Do you agree? I'm glad the fighting stopped, but I wonder about the motivations. http://flushaholybook.com
